Our Return engagement at chrome lounge with the fools

The Mayors Folly
Greetings Loyal Followers The Angry one is back again to assault your senses and hopefully jump start your gray matter, hey this is Omaha I know it is a vain hope but lets give it a shot anyway. As I was making my way around the city to day deciding what I was gonna write for this installment of the jack angry show blog I had a revelation; the revelation that I had is that these streets suck!! Thats how i came up with the title for this installment of the Jack Angry Show blog, and I will explain my reasons for this statement in just a moment.
We all have been in snowstorms before and we all know what to expect usually things are moving along 2-3 days after the storms pass. How ever under the watch of mayor Suttle that has not happened the streets are still crap yes they are passable the mayors idea of using this brine solution on the roads has failed miserably, I guess the old adage does apply "IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT.." I have heard a roumor that the city works department is experimenting with a new type of snow removal technology which uses a by product of the distillation for vodka...hmmm why not spread the word to the homeless population of omaha that it is vodka and we can have them out in full force licking the streets that would have the problems cleared up right freaking now.
Obviously that is a completely outrageous statement but they dont call me Jack Angry for nothing.
In all fairness I do want to take a second to give props and kudos to the city of Omaha public works and all the guys driving those orange trucks since the 8th of december they have been going to keep the streets passable in spite of not being able to work with the best conditions. If you see or meet one of these individuals in the course of your daily coming and goings be sure to shake thier hands and let em know that they are doing a great job.
On Other matters I see Avatar has earned another 48 million dollars this past weekend making this one of the most profitable films in recorded history, although the fact that this cost almost half a billion dollars to make, merchandise and market it still has a long way to go.. Does anyone else think that mabe filmakers are relying on cgi and other technology too heavily rather than using ..oh lets see here something crazy like GOOD WRITING, PLOT and TALENT to do a movie? Although Zoe Saldana running around in a loin cloth and pained blue is not a bad thing either. I am sure we all remember the green Orion slave girls in the Star Trek tv series.

To continue on this rant I think we can safely establish the decade of 2000-2010 as the decade when Hollywood Ran out of ideas. Comon Alvin and the Chipmunks "The Squeakuel" ..who sold their soul to Satan to get the numbers up on that piece of shit? I wanna see that contract..HURRAY FOR HOLLYWOOD..MY ASS! The remake of the Star Trek unives while being a great movie illustrates we have taken the remake and re imagining thing just a bit too far. The only one that really did hit things on the head is the Christian Bale batman movies, NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO TOP JACK NICHOLSON AS THE JOKER! but Heath Ledger managed to scare the hell out of me with his portrayal. Michael keaton was great in the original tim burton version bale brigs a current era grittiness to the role we are not even gonna mention George Clooney.
